Meet Karen,
The Supplement Dietitian
Your go-to guide to understanding dietary supplements and your dietary needs.
TheSupplementDietitian.com is an online resource for those interested in learning more about dietary supplements, how they are regulated, and how to identify supplements that are right for you. As a longtime industry veteran working within the dietary supplement/functional food and beverage area, my focus is sharing education and information on how these ingredients and products can fit within one’s life. I provide reviews of the scientific literature related to the health benefits of dietary supplements, discuss consumers’ health concerns related to dietary deficiencies or gaps in nutrition, and make recommendations for nutrients that are not obtained through diet alone.
My goal is to help everyone understand that safe and efficacious ingredients and products can help meet the health needs and goals of today’s consumer. In my 30-year career, I’ve helped food and supplement companies develop and manufacture hundreds of health-based consumer products. I’m also an avid scuba diver and enjoy swimming, hiking, and camping. I split my time between Saugatuck, MI and Dripping Springs, Texas.
